I’m a 30-something year old mum to one larger-than-life 4 year old son who keeps me on my toes on a daily basis and a new baby girl who has a heart-melting smile and a sideline in nighttime gymnastics.
I have always loved music – it’s made such an important contribution to my life and has opened the doors to so many personal and social opportunities. As well as studying piano and clarinet as a child, I also loved performing in musicals and have the dubious pleasure (due to a school-wide flu epidemic) of having had a starring, but solo role as “the angry mob” in Jesus Christ Superstar.
Since my son was born, I’ve rediscovered music. When he was tiny I sang to him to calm him. As he grew, we discovered that there was nothing like dancing round the living room for using up all that extra energy. We sing songs together in the car, at home, at bedtime, in the morning. He really enjoys music and I want to encourage it.
As a mum, I know there are a lot of activities available, but I really do believe that Kindermusik offers your child a great musical start, as well as being great fun for both parent and child.
